Skype 2.8 Beta now available for download for Mac OS X... Skype has now announced that the 2.8 Beta for Mac OS X is available for download. As I wrote about yesterday and demonstrated in a video, the new version lets you do screen sharing, access Boingo hotspots, manage chats and more... Skype's news release is also out as well as a longer Skype blog post explaining the features (and which talks more about Skype Access, something I was unable to really try or demo). It also looks to be worth reading through the full release notes for this version as there is a LONG list of improvements, changes and bug fixes. Celliax : asterisk, skype, mobile phone. Интересная открытая разработка на базе Asterisk посредством который можно замутить собственный шлюз GSM - Skype : Celliax. Посредством нехитрого адаптера для передачи звука и дата кабеля старенький мобильный телефон подключается к компьютеру с сервером Asterisk и Skype. Этот старенький телефон становится нашей базовой станцией. Звонки на него можно можно перекидывать на скайп и наоборот - звонки со скайпа заруливать на мобильный телефон. К сожалению скайп нельзя бросать на другие каналы астериска. Разработчиками подготовлен Live СD с работающим софтом. Буду тестировать.

Now they have there own Skype cell phone the coolest thing about Skype’s mobile phone is it’s prepaid service, but when you run out of minutes to talk to real landlines and cell phones. You can still talk, Instant Message, Pictures and video message all through Skype for free until you have to top-up again. This has to be the coolest prepaid phone ever. My suggestion make all your friends go get one of these Skype prepaid phones and you’ll only be paying $10 bucks a month yet you get to talk all you want to your friends and family.
